CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (GERMAN)

• Overall responsibility of general ledger processing, period-end closing and adjustment procedures and financial reporting
• Apply developed specialist knowledge and skills in accounting
• Supervise day-to-day accounting procedures according to process flow, timeline, service and quality requirements
 Ensure that all accounting entries are accurately processed within agreed deadline
 Perform period-end closing, adjustments and reporting
 Ensure that fixed assets are accurately accounted for
 Ensure all reconciliations are completed on time
 Calculate/ post of accruals and provisions
 Provide data for tax, statutory, statistical returns
 Other general ledger processing tasks
• Active participation in audit process
• Overall proactive collaboration with Plant’s Business Controllers
• Participate in process development and FSC development projects abroad when requested
• Recognize and communicate development opportunities in process to Team leader / Process Owner
• Recognize training requirements and competence shortages in personnel work – communicate to Team leader
• Other tasks requested by Team leader

• University degree preferred
• Educational background in accounting/economics is needed
• Strong practical experience in accountancy
• Working experience in SSC environment is an asset
• In-depth knowledge in GL, closing and fixed assets
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting
• ACCA certificate is an advantage
• Understanding of end-to-end accounting process
• Professional approach to work
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Good analytical skills and attention to details
• Good practical knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and HFM knowledge is an asset
• Excellent language skills both written and spoken in English and German
