Role overview
The main purpose of the role is to work closely with clients and sales team to understand the clients’ needs in order to integrate their products on to the site. This role will have responsibility for the Portuguese market. Moreover the role includes owning the website in Portugal, being responsible for having a fresh website which reflects the tastes, needs and requirements of the Portugal online community.
Full training will be provided so we’re looking for enthusiasm, drive and a strong interest in ecommerce and its technologies.
Key duties
- Maintain existing client integrations using our in house development tools
- Set up new integrations with clients including full development and testing
- Work closely with the sales team and their customers to ensure a quality product is delivered
- Work very closely with the local commercial team to ensure the site reflects local market needs, is in line with product strategy and takes full advantage of local commercial opportunities
- Work closely with the central product team to ensure that the company delivers a world class consumer proposition within the local market, feeding in both local needs and critical intelligence from local competitors - including content, user experience, functionality, core search technology, and added services
- Update content on the site on a regular basis and assure that the homepage always is up to date as well as push content for special events to increase awareness
- Create theme pages and guides for special events
Requirements
- Fluent Portuguese and English skills
- Degree in computer science or a related subject would be an advantage
- Prior experience of a role working with customers
- Commercially minded and ability to manage any local content relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Close attention to detail, strong planning skills and an analytical approach
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing internet environment
- A passion for the online world and the opportunities this sector offers
- Good networking skills and relationship building both internally, and externally
