Job Description

Responsible for preparing sauces and sushi in accordance with our guidelines;
Monitors and ensures the portioning of foods prepared and maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen;
Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned to include cleaning kitchen, equipment, and floor;
Maintains kitchen, cooking areas, sushi counters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration units and food storage areas clean, sanitary and organized;
Reports any kitchen/sushi equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty and head chef;
Handles, stores, labels, and rotates foods properly and in accordance with health control unit and Norwegian laws;
Uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, julienne, whip, beat, maintain holding temperature, chill, freeze or otherwise produce food;
Presents a clean and neat appearance and uses a courteous manner with all guests;
Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

Have a permit to work in Norway;
Have a thorough understanding of preparing and making sushi and Japanese food;
Be willing to learn a real Japanese way with good memory;
Pay attention to detail of hygiene rules;
Have experience;
Humble, reliable, and honest;
Healthy and fit;
Hard working and enthusiastic;
Be able to manage a busy kitchen and handle stress;
Be able to communicate in English and work as a team player;
Be able to work during summer, Christmas and all holidays if it is needed

Company offers

NOK130 – 200 per hour or about NOK 20,000-35,000 per month depending on your skills. Overtime pay and holiday money will be given to employee according to Norwegian labour laws. Holiday money is about 10.2% of the gross income of the whole year.
