Job Description
Functions and responsibilities:
- install, configure and support Unix/Linux environments
- create automation scripts
- support and configure Symantec Veritas high availability clusters
- participate in projects, maintenance activities and migrations
- run daily system diagnostics
- handle monitoring alerts as well as incidents related to Unix/Linux systems operation
- work with change, incident & problem management according to ITIL processes
- document new and update existing processes
- propose solutions, show initiative and take part in improving systems
- communicate internally in the Unix team and with other teams to ensure rapid and professional resolution of the problem
- constantly learn and refresh knowledge, share experience between team members.
Requirements
What we expect:
- 2+ year experience working with Unix/Linux as system administrator
- knowledge of Red Hat 5/6/7 and virtualisation technology
- familiar with scripting and automation
- good English language skills
- general understanding of SAN technologies and IP networks
- you to be a team player and customer focused as well as having service minded attitude.
Advantages:

- general understanding of common system software for backup/restore and monitoring
