Job Description

The Collections Specialist is engaged in researching unpaid claims when insurance was billed but we do not see a response in our system. Specialist uses online sources and phone to contact insurance carrier and determine insurance payment or denial information. If insurance denied, specialist must identify the problem and determine a course of action to resolve claims. Specialist follows all policies and procedures as outlined by the company and/or governmental regulations and according to HIPAA regulations. The positions will report to the Emergency Department Collections Team Lead.

• Using the phone, or computer search tools, contact the insurance carrier and determine whether a payment has been, or will be made and if not, the reason for denial.
• Review and analyze unpaid accounts to get the required information to call (or utilize other online search tools) the insurance with the overdue account to obtain correct information.
• Complete various projects as assigned by management.
• Communicate trends and opportunities for improvement to management.
• Meet or exceed established production and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain an accurate understanding and application of client manual information in regard to daily assignments.
• Meet routine deadlines and work schedules as well as timely and accurate completion of special projects and any other duties as assigned.
• Understand, support, enforce and comply with company policies, procedures and Standards of Business Ethics and Conduct.
• Display a positive attitude as well as professional, polite, considerate and courteous conduct and treatment of others in the course of duties.

Requirements

• Bilingual Lithuanian and English.
• Intermediate computer operating skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
• Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
• Flexible to handle unexpected daily challenges.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Numeric data entry by touch of 10,000 KSPH is preferred.

Working hours: 13:30 - 22:00
