DATA SCIENTIST

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client – leading telecommunications company in the Baltic region – is currently expanding its operations and functions to provide Billing, IT & other services for Company’s branches across Europe from their office in Riga, Latvia.

Currently Company is looking for:
DATA SCIENTIST

You will be responsible for:
• Build algorithms necessary for extraction of knowledge or insights from data in various forms.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data to provide statistical or predictive analysis.
• Presentation of your findings for different business units, management teams, etc.
• Evaluation of data and comparison of it with examples in different industries to be able use best practices.
• Integration of multiple systems and data sets.
• Connection of different types of data sets in different forms.
• Working with potentially incomplete data sources.
• Cleaning data sets to be able to use them.
• Machine learning: using computers to improve as well as develop algorithms.

Requirements:
• Deep understanding of mathematics: statistics, discrete mathematics and numerical analysis.
• Good knowledge of programming to be able to create algorithms and data structures, develop machine learning.
• Solid analytical skills and technical creativity.
• Skilled in data visualization and presentation techniques.
• Previous working experience as data analyst or similar.
• Experience in extrating data using various type of queries.
• Strong desire to build up knowledge base and willingness to improve.

Advantageous experience with any of the following:
Java, Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Machine Learning, R, Python, Cassandra, Storm, D3js, GNU/Linux, MatLab, Mathematica, Mesos, Neo4J.
