DevOps Cloud Enablement Engineer

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client, an international consulting firm specializing in custom software solutions for the capital markets industry. The Company brings proven capital markets solution design and delivery skills to market by a proven delivery model and ability to effectively manage people and processes across globally distributed delivery teams.

Currently Company is looking for smart DevOps Cloud Enablement Engineer to expand their team in Riga.
You’ll work with top tier clients in Financial Services to enable them to take advantage of the revolution away from static data centers to dynamic provisioning and orchestration across external and internal, hybrid cloud environments. You will play a key role in delivering a robust platform that is cost effective, transparent, performant, scalable and secure.

Typical tasks for this role:
• Build and deployment automatization using Jenkins and/or TeamCity. Includes GIT and various code analysis tools integration into build.
• Artifacts packaging using Docker.
• Cloud orchestration for AWS or OpenShift platforms.
• VM packaging and configuration using Vagrant.
• Infrastructure configuration using Puppet or similar tool.
• Make recommendation on projects processes improvements from technical point of view.

• Minimum 2 years of DevOps or software development experience
• Enthusiastic about delivering client solutions and working with a cross functional team
• A passion for DevOps, Cloud Provisioning & Orchestration opportunities
• Strong practical working knowledge of Amazon Web Services and/or OpenStack
• Working knowledge of tools such as Cloudify, CloudFoundry or similar
• Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)
• Excellent scripting capabilities and practical experience Shell, Perl, Python, other
• Linux, Windows and/or network management experience
• Working exposure to the full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
• Experience with automated deployment and automated software tasks
• 1+ years of exposure to setting-up and configuring AWS, open stack or similar cloud services to best practices
• Rich DevOps skills across SCM, Static Code Analyzer, Build and Release, Continuous Integration tools and frameworks such as, SVN, GIT, ANT, MVN, Sonar etc
• Understanding and practical working knowledge of tools such as Puppet, Chef, Jenkins
• Familiarity with Big Data tools like Hadoop or Splunk
• Experience with relational & NoSQL data stores, such as MongoDB, CouchDB etc
• Experience with Infrastructure security is a plus
