Senior Infrastructure System Administrator / DevOps

STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL (S3I) client – an international company - is currently expanding and is looking for:

Senior Infrastructure System Administrator / DevOps

The company is seeking engineers with deep knowledge of infrastructure automation processes and with aspiration to automate every single aspect of infrastructure.

You will work with top tier clients in Financial Services to enable to take advantage of the revolution away from static data centers to dynamic provisioning and orchestration across external and internal, hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities:
• Platform / Middleware Team provides an infrastructure platform for business applications. This involves creating TOSCA Blueprints and writing SaltStack states
• Developer Support Team helps developers to leverage middleware blueprints created by Platform Team, provides best practices, maintains knowledge base
• CI / Testing Team will utilize Jenkins to ensure all components and services are in the top shape
• Emergency Response Team. When something breaks in production there is a fraction of time before Ops will reboot the machine. ERT specialist must make sure evidence is collected and further investigate the cause of failure. (This is NOT an On-Call duty)

Requirements:
Complete infrastructure automation. We do not believe in doing anything configuration related manually. Either on client projects or for an internal development coding skills is a requirement.
• Deep knowledge in Linux/Unix systems administration
• Advanced shell-scripting skills (bash/ksh/zsh, Python)
• Experience with configuration management tools (SaltStack/Chef/Puppet/etc). We use SaltStack but it's enough to have understanding of general approach
• English communication skills

Advantages:
• CI/CD – creating pipelines, managing pool of agents, tracking artifacts etc
• Windows Administration – approximately 20% of installations are Windows 2012 machines. AD, GPO, CA, SCCM, PowerShell scripting
• Experience writing Splunk dashboards, functions, alerts
• Python – we favor Python over Bash/PowerShell.
• JavaEE Application servers – we have a lot of Redhat JBoss and IBM WebSphere installs. Administration knowledge for these middleware products is definitely a plus
• Firm understanding of L2/L3 networking (VLAN, IP addressing/routing, VRRP/CARP)
• Exposure to Docker best practices – Compose, volume containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• OpenStack internals
