Purpose of the job
To further strengthen Danske Bank’s cybersecurity defense we are hiring a number of Security Analysts for our new Security Operations Centre (SOC) located in Vilnius, Lithuania. SOC performs 24/7 monitoring and incident management to detect potential security threats and to protect Danske Bank’s network and systems.
When a threat or an attack is discovered SOC is responsible for assessing the event, analysing and drilling it down into data to determine the root cause. SOC team works with system owners and other teams to mitigate the issue immediately. SOC escalates incidents to the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) for additional investigation and forensics analysis when required.
We seek highly analytical persons with a strong IT background and preferably prior IT Security experience. We are looking for candidates with genuine interest in current and evolving IT Security threats, large IT environments, systems and network infrastructure.
Primary tasks/deliveries
• Monitor, investigate and register security events and incidents
• Ensure timely and accurate security incident escalation, resolution and closure by following defined processes
• Perform structured security assessment, analysis and reporting of defined metrics• Perform vulnerability and compliance management
• Work in shifts
About the department
SOC is part of newly established IT Operation Centre which is located in Denmark and Lithuania. In a high paced environment IT Operation Centre works on 24/7 basis to ensure prompt and professional support of Danske Bank Infrastructure and Security. Requirements
Professional competencies (skills and knowledge)
• 1+year of working experience or education in IT or related (Mathematics, Physics) field
• Analytical and structured thinking
• Awareness and understanding of different security threats and risks in Banking Industry
• Good English language skills
Desired skills
• Event, Incident and Change Management experience
• Experience in IT Security would be considered as an advantage
• Relevant IT and/or Security certifications (e.g. CompTIA+, Linux+ or CCNA, GISF or GCIA) would be considered as an advantage
