Job Description
In order to strengthen our Markets IT team Danske Bank is looking for a skilled engineer to join a team of three in Vilnius that has ownership of all our Research and Analytics applications.
- Ownership of 3rd party Research and Analytics systems. Many of these are client facing, so of utmost importance to the bank.
- Analysis, configuration and installation of new 3rd party Research and Analytics systems, on both client and server side.
- Ongoing maintenance of existing systems (upgrade, expansion) to ensure our business remain competitive in the market
- Understand and identify the consequences of planned infrastructure changes (e.g. server patching, or network changes).
- Ensure a good working relationship between the operational infrastructure vendor (IBM), the third party software suppliers, the department in India and other internal departments in Danish Bank.
- Participate in the 2nd and 3rd level support (20%)
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Windows, Linux, Networks, Firewalls.
- Experience with client software on the Windows platform
- Experience with deployment (analysis, configuration, installation) and maintenance of software from third-party suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills. Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Excellent problem solving / Analytical skills
- A “can do” attitude where helping the team achieve its objectives is a priority
- University Degree. Preference towards Maths, Computer Science, Engineering and Economics graduates.
Desirable skills:
- The financial products trading domain, in particular bonds, cash equities and repos.
- Experience of working in an investment bank.
- Experience of SQL Database, network administration and IT Security.
- Experience of Time Series analytics (e.g OneTick).
- Experience of integrating 3rd party systems with proprietary platforms.
- Knowledge of incident and problem management.
- Experience with agile methods.
- M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, Economics
