Senior Change and Release Manager in IT Service Management

IT Change and Release Manager facilitates successful introduction of changes to an IT system or environment, having responsibility to define the change and release processes which are used by the IT development and infrastructure organization when handling new service and improvements. Position ensures quality assurance and preparation of reports and documentation to reflect the quality output of the change and release management area. Change and Release Manager has an overall focus on optimizing processes and achieving results in top class hereby also defining the structures of CAB meetings.

Responsibilities:
• Change and Release Manager is responsible for controlling the lifecycle of all changes having primary objective to enable beneficial changes with minimum disruption to IT Services
• Head of the change and release process regarding planning, coordination and communication of the process
• Manage the team of Change & Release resources (currently 5 FTE); day-to-day responsibility for team performance
• Perform duties according to ITIL Operations processes
• Develop and improve change & release management solutions
• Govern the Change Management and Release Management processes within IT Operations; develop, promote and enact this governance across Group IT
• Drive KPI performance attainment across Group IT for Change and Release quality
• Participate and execute CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
• Define and establish appropriate quality measurements and metrics for CAB meetings and other Change & Release forums
• Ensure early quality assurance and see correct use of change gates/review throughout the change process

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of experience within IT service operations
• Experience of previous release or project management or incident or problem management experience
• Solid experience in information systems operations and service management environments, preferably within a financial services context
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and ITIL operations processes; ITIL v3 qualified essential, knowledge of IT4IT preferred
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Strong and assured stakeholder management capabilities
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English are a must
