Accountant

 As our new Accountant in Lithuania, you will be responsible for accounting for the Lithuanian (and Latvian) companies in the European Energy group in close collaboration with another accountant and financial controller in Vilnius. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including coordinating tasks and topics with Accountants and Financial Controllers in HQ and providing business support to other departments in European Energy. Moreover, you will have contact with external stakeholders such as the Lithuanian authorities and local tax advisors.

Responsibilities

• Accounting of Lithuanian (and Latvian) companies in the European Energy Group
• Daily bookkeeping and bank payments
• Financial reconciliation of accounts
• Period end tasks
• VAT, tax, and other local filings in collaboration with external advisors
• Collaboration with external auditors
• Optimization of tasks and processes

As a person, you are thorough and structured. You have a background in accounting and solid experience within accounting in Lithuania. You have good interpersonal and communication skills and find yourself working well with internal stakeholders across departments and at all levels as well as external stakeholders. Profile

• You have several years of experience in accounting and finance from a similar position
• You hold a degree in Accounting or Finance
• You have profound skills in accounting, Lithuanian VAT, and compliance
• You have good analytical skills and put an effort into delivering timely and accurately in high quality
• You have a thorough and structured approach to your work
• You have full professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English
• You are experienced with Excel, Navision Dynamics, and Invoice workflow
