Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Description

Overall responsibility for the Manager and the team is to secure timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting in close cooperation with the business.

You will manage a team which among other things, invoice, handle customer payments, deal with collections, investigate and solve AR related queries, supports stakeholders, the business, with expertise to ensure correct accounting. Month end closing activities are also part of the role’s responsibilities and you are expected to actively engage in improvements and streamlining the processes for all countries that we support.

As a Manager you will lead the team and develop people, drive changes and strives to improve existing processes, while supporting shared service center clients with high quality financial services.

Your responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the accounting- and closing process, processes for accounts receivable (including customer invoicing), and shop accounting.
  • Ensure high quality of identified accounting service deliverables to the business and
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of accounting employees (15-20).
  • Communicate objectives and evaluate individual and team performance. Carry out performance and development dialogue.
  • Manage resource planning, staffing and quality of the team.
  • Preparation of monthly and year-end Group reporting and statutory reporting
  • Manage and monitor performance measures and service levels, optimizing and improving the team to become an effective service provider.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial information, responsible for compliance with accounting standards, tax law and other regulations.
  • Ownership of balance sheet, including account reconciliations
  • Initiate and drive change and continuous improvements within Accounts Receivable area
  • Support to the business operation in ad-hoc financial information requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Business Administration or similar educational qualifications.
  • Several years’ work experience from accounting and audit (4-6).
  • Experience from people Management.
  • Be able to drive change, coach and inspire group of people.
  • Strong Problem solving skills, in collaboration with the team and between organizations.
  • Customer mindset and experience from managing internal customer satisfaction.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written in English. 
  • Good Knowledge in business administration and accounting principles.
  • Be able to have an overall perspective on the finance processes.
  • Be able to discuss qualified accounting and tax issues with auditors.
