Job Description

We are looking for an Application Specialist for our Application Services team at Telia Global Services Lithuania.

Your next challenge?

Your new team, based in a new open-space office in Vilnius, support the operational aspects of value-added email services, email relay services internally and externally. We also deliver solutions on automation, patching, improvements as well as monitoring and proactive prevention of disturbances. The team in Vilnius work closely with other teams and vendors to investigate, solve and upgrade technology and email services for Nordics and Baltics.

You will have responsibility for operational support and maintenance of the backend and frontend email service solutions including anti-spam engine administration and security rules implementation. You will oversee areas of Incidents, Change and Problem detection.

Requirements

Who are you?

You are a strong team-player with a service oriented mindset who will independently drive your own tasks and deliver on time. To fit the bill, you have worked as an Application Support Specialist, System Administrator, IT Support Specialist or Email Administrator. Ensuring complex service excellence and collaborating to solve urgent incidents is something that excites you, and you excel in building strong stakeholder relationship.

Your experience:

  • Unix/Linux systems and applications administration and maintenance (RHEL)
  • Knowledge of SMTP protocol, HTTPS protocol, IMAP and POP3 protocols
  • Experience in administrating webmail, postfix and email relay
  • Experience in active and proactive application operational support
  • Experience of Bash/Python automation solutions development and scripting is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
