Job Description

As an Application Support Specialist reporting to Senior Director, Systems Operations, you'll play a critical role in operating and evolving Nasdaq Nordic's post-trade systems. You'll ensure the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of our platforms while working closely with technical owners and cross-functional teams.

  • Handle incidents end-to-end, including participation in on-call rotations for major incidents and planned operational activities.
  • Deploy releases and manage configuration and change activities across environments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for application behavior, integrations, and operational questions.
  • Proactively monitor systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
  • Collaborate with technical owners and cross-functional teams to meet service level agreements and support business initiatives.

This position will be located in Vilnius and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates. Requirements

  • Experience in IT operations, application support, or a similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise messaging or middleware platforms (e.g., IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, TIBCO EMS, ActiveMQ, or similar).
  • Proficiency working in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear, professional communication in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with IBM MQ and/or SWIFT Alliance systems or integrations.
  • Scripting or programming skills, with an understanding of enterprise networking, virtualization, and security best practices.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, IBM MQ, SWIFT, or Agile).
