
Application Support Specialist
Job Description
Application Support Specialists will be providing small changes and support for company’s applications across the Western Europe region.
Team will provides a number of services including:
- Data capture from multiple sources
- Data services – quality, profile, cleansing
- Data modelling – loading to database models in a warehouse
- Data Interpretation – making sense of the data – analysis
- Data Insight – consumable representation of information
Key Accountabilities:
This role will provide Application Support & Enhancement services to a number of business critical and regulatory applications ;
- Problem Record/Incident Management
- Quality Assurance for all the changes delivered to business
- Prompt response to meet the business needs for changes
- Provision of out of office hours support to ensure smooth functioning of the application, as needed
- To understand the new/changed applications coming into Support to a detailed level
- Provide the support for any new service accepted
- To provide input to estimates for request to change.
- Have ownership of small change, and input to any large change perhaps involving 3rd party suppliers.
Requirements
- Strong SQL knowledge is required
- Incident and Problem Management
- Strong technical knowledge
- Good understanding of data & data integrity concepts
- Good analytical investigation techniques
- Good organisational skills
- Good written & oral communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Good business knowledge
