Asset Accounting Manager

We are now looking for a manager to lead a team of 6 asset accounting specialists at Telia Company Financial Shared Services (FSS).

The Asset Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the fixed assets accounting team and Company's asset related accounting processes. Apart of overall responsibility in asset accounting deliverables, you develop people, drive changes and strives to improve existing processes, while supporting shared service center clients in Nordics with high quality asset accounting services.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and data skill management as the work specifics require handling and maintaining large volumes of data. One should know general accounting and be advanced in excel.

Your responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the fixes asset accounting and closing process;
• Ensure high quality of asset accounting service deliverables to the business and improvements in effectiveness and quality of service over time;
• Prepare for monthly and year-end Group reporting ;
• Manage, coach and develop a team;
• Communicate objectives and evaluate individual and team performance. Carry out performance and development dialogues;
• Manage resource planning, staffing and quality of the team;
• Manage and monitor performance measures and service levels, optimizing and improving the team to become an effective service provider;
• Support to the business operation in ad-hoc information requests.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or similar educational qualifications;
• Experience in people management ;
• Experience of general accounting (3-5 years);
• Good overall perspective of finance processes;
• On hands experience from Asset Accounting (preferred);
• Experience in stakeholder management;
• Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of Nordic languages is an advantage but not a requirement;
• Advanced with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivots, macros…);
• Experience from SAP (preferred);
• Strong communication skills;
• Analytical and structured .
