Job Description

  • Design, implement and ensure a smooth process of licensing of the new bank
  • Collaborate closely and maintain smooth communication with specialists of the Bank of Lithuania throughout the entire licensing process
  • Ensure timely submission of all documents, additional information or clarifications required by the Bank of Lithuania and correctness of said data
  • Promptly address the deficiencies identified in the comments received from the supervisory authority
  • Ensure implementation of other requirements for the licensed bank
  • Ensure that the bank’s articles of association, capital, business plan, management, and organizational structure, risk management system, remuneration policy and practice, accounting system, internal control system, technical, informational, technological safeguards, legal forms, premises, and property insurance correspond to the governing legislation, and the operations of the bank are secure and reliable
  • Ensure an adequate number of the bank’s management staff
  • Ensure that the institution is prepared to provide financial services in a secure and reliable manner at the time the license is issued

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the banking industry
  • Experience in licensing processes with the supervisory authorities (Bank of Lithuania)
  • Knowledge of legislation regulating the activities and licensing of the banks
  • Fluent in Lithuanian and English languages
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Good communication, relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution skills
