<b>Nordic Network Administrator</b>

Nordic Network Administrator role covers the following job profiles: Local Technology Coordination, Network Development/Engineering, Network Operations, Network Support and Security Management Services.

Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for acquisition, installation, maintenance and use of data communication technology (e.g. switches) in a single location. • Provides interface between local technology and local customers to provide technical support related to data communication. • Responsible for activities to identify, prioritize, and resolve network (voice and/or data) problems. • Responds to customer complaints to research complex problems associated with the organization’s telecommunications networks (voice and/or data). • Diagnoses problem source through discussions with customers. • Tracks and monitors responses/resolution time. • Provides case status updates. Follows up with users to ensure problem has been resolved. • Develops supporting documentation of all data communication activities. • Monitors cost-effectiveness and recommends upgrades as appropriate. • Reports on network operation statistics. • Ensures operations are in accordance with established procedures and practices. • Keeps and maintains cable records and wiring diagrams. • Performs cable changes according to industry standard. • Performs hardware and software moves, add and changes. • Responsible for modification, repair and preventative maintenance on all network equipment and related systems. • Maintains records on repairs, down time, changes and updates. • Assists programming/engineering activities for voice/data network design, development, and implementation. • Assists in network implementation to new/expanding office build outs. • Reports on effectiveness of data security. • Makes recommendations for the adoption of new security procedures and standards. • Understands customer security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. • Investigates and reports on potential breeches of security. • Evaluate and address business requirements for client connectivity when requested. • May performs normal engineering services such as transmission and circuit design. • May coordinate with internal company support and operations groups and/or with vendors to resolve problems. • May coordinate with service providers and equipment manufacturers for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators, and switches, PBX’s and voice messaging systems, audio/video conferencing platforms & other collaborative tools and/or emerging technologies in voice/data networks such as wireless and other mobility services. • May assist with proposal writing. • May also audit vendor bills for accuracy. • May also have responsibilities included in other Technology Services role descriptions
