Job Description
As Business Analyst you will work closely with both technical and non-technical teams, potential suppliers and potential M&A targets. You will be exposed to multiple business divisions and will be parachuted into different projects where you will utilise your extensive product and domain knowledge to provide key analysis and strategic recommendations that will steer commercial and product decision making.
A key part of the role is understanding the commercial strategies of the Group and its constituent businesses. Your domain knowledge across business strategy, product and industry specifics means you will often get first sight of potential projects before they have made it to delivery teams. Your recommendations will help determine if this work is prioritised in the roadmap at all. You may also form part of a due diligence party sent to a potential M&A targets to evaluate their products, operations and how they can complement or extend our current capabilities. You will need to strategically pinpoint issues, identify cost-savings and product synergies.
Your excellent communication skills will ensure that you can work closely with the product teams, helping to enhance the existing product ownership capability. You will be key in helping fill any product and industry knowledge gaps in members of the product team and other members of the business analyst team.
As this role operates across all multiple divisions (and therefore locations) it will sometimes be beneficial for face-to-face contact, so a willingness to travel is essential
Requirements
- Product Ownership or Business analyst experience
- Very strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
- An appreciation for media/visualisation products
- Knowledge and appreciation for commercial strategy
- Ability to learn quickly
- Collaborative and inquisitive nature
- Willingness to coach and pass on specialist domain knowledge to others
- Knowledge of Agile and Software Delivery best practices
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Previous experience of working on sports related software
- Experience of working on multiple projects at the same time
- Familiarity with JIRA and related Atlassian technology
- Experience working in international environment
- Experience working with remote teams
