Business Data Analyst

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client, an international consulting firm, specializes in custom software solutions for the capital markets industry. The Company brings proven capital markets solution design and delivery skills to market by a proven delivery model and ability to effectively manage people and processes across globally distributed delivery teams.

Currently Company is looking for:
BUSINESS DATA ANALYST

Main responsibilities:
• Process market regulatory rules defined in XML or CSV format;
• Transformation of raw data and translation into applicable requirements;
• Validate and verify implementation of rules using MS Access as a tool;
• Create reports, document processes and implementation;
• Indicated areas which need to be improved;
• Manipulate complex trade data and provide detailed analysis;
• Day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution;
• Serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources.

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in business, technical or data analysis;
• Experience in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data;
• Practical experience in writing SQL queries and using XML (including XPath and XSLT);
• Experience in processing large amounts of raw data using MS Excel;
• Experience in working with relational Databases, e.g. MS Access;
• Pro-active, independent, self-starter who is ready to jump in and get things done;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Attention to detail and well developed organizational skills.

Advantageous skills:
• Experience in Financial Industry;
• Experience with Regulatory Trade Reporting;
• Experience using FpML.
