DtecNet / MarkMonitor is looking for a person to join our team of developers based in Vilnius, Lithuania. This full-time position calls for a motivated software developer with experience in C#/.NET and an interest in web technologies. This is an opportunity for recent graduates or junior developers to become part of a very dynamic and international company with a high focus on technology and Internet trends.

DtecNet, now a part of MarkMonitor, is an industry leader in tracking online copyright infringements and piracy trends. With our unique products and services we offer clients the ability to gain detailed insight into how digital media content is being distributed online via various platforms such as websites and p2p file-sharing networks.
You will join a team of 4-5 other people who are focused on maintaining and building out DtecNet’s proprietary web crawling technology. The primary responsibilities of this job include building logic to crawl through specific websites and analyze web pages to identify and extract certain information. Most of the tasks in the beginning will be within an already existing framework, where new plugins have to be developed to support new sites and existing plugins need to be maintained as websites change their page structure.
In addition, there will be a large effort required to migrate legacy plugins to a new system which is in development. On this project you will get a chance to work closely together with some of our experienced engineers, who are revising and improving the current architecture.
Requirements
Essential skills:
- Experience with C# and working with the .NET framework
- Experience with Object Oriented Design
- Good English communication skills
It will also be useful if you:
- Have worked with and feel comfortable with regular expressions
- Are familiar with technologies used to build content rich and dynamic web sites (JavaScript, Ajax, Flash etc.)
- Have an interest in natural language processing or some of the disciplines within this area (parsing, word segmentation, character recognition etc.)
- In this job you will also work closely together with the large team of data analysts located in DtecNet’s Vilnius office. You will help them by providing technology to support their ongoing work of collecting information from the internet.
The corporate language is English, and you are expected to be able to communicate well in English both in written and verbal form.
