Job Description

Tegos Legal is growing, and with that growth comes the need to professionalize and strengthen our internal operations. We are creating a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) role – a right hand to the CEO and an integrator for the firm.

The COO will ensure that our partners can focus on clients and strategy, and directly manage teams of HR, Finance, Marketing, administration to ensure  internal processes, administration, knowledge management  run smoothly and effectively. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines execution, people management, and operational excellence in a dynamic professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Design and implement lean, standardized processes across the organization, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Introduce, document, and onboard Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) – making sure they are understood, followed, and regularly improved.
  • Lead and manage departments of  administrative and support functions -HR, Finance, Marketing teams.
  • Establish and improve repeatable processes, efficiency standards, knowledge management system and KPIs.
  • Introduce and optimize tools (CRM, AI-driven efficiency tools, document management, etc.) to support lawyer productivity.
  • Continuously drive simplification, efficiency, and elimination of unnecessary tasks – ensuring every department operates in a leaner, more effective way.

Partner & Lawyer Support

  • Act as a bridge between partners/lawyers and the administrative teams.
  • Translate lawyers’ expectations into operational processes and ensure smooth execution.
  • Introduce best practices to increase effectiveness of lawyers.

Change Management & Culture

  • Support the CEO in implementing change across the organization.
  • Build a culture of accountability and execution while respecting the flexibility and individuality of partners.
  • Strengthen communication, collaboration, and alignment between teams.

People & Team Leadership

  • Directly manage administrative leaders and ensure their professional growth.
  • Monitor wellbeing, workload, and team engagement.
  • Encourage cross-functional cooperation and alignment with firm goals.

Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of proven experience in operational leadership, ideally in a professional services, consulting environment (e.g., Big4, law firms or other industry), or organizations that grew fast and needed change management and efficiency support.
  • Strong execution and organizational skills – able to turn chaos into strategy, and strategy into action and deliver measurable results.
  • Ability to thrive in a non-corporate, fast-changing, partner-led environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.
  • Excellent stakeholder management: ability to balance different partner opinions, align interests, and drive consensus.
  • Hands-on, proactive “doer” with strong people skills – approachable, trusted, and able to connect with colleagues across all levels.
  • Experience with efficiency, process improvement, KPIs, and digital tools (CRM, AI solutions, knowledge management).
  • Excellent project management experience and skills, ability to lead different teams.
  • Strong communication skills in Lithuanian and English.
