CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

Reporting directly to the project CEO you will be accountable for the successful development and delivery of IT strategy ensuring achievement in the project strategic plan.

Your immediate focus will be on the take-over, reconsideration, redesign of the existing product and its further development and transformation into a large ecosystem with a range of new service offerings to the market needs.

Team leading, strategic thinking, and ability to catch new ideas from different sources (researches, market trends, users’ needs, brainstorms etc.), prove and implement them on time are essential in this role.

You’ll be able to handle processes from technical project scoping through to working with the marketing team.

You’ll provide direction and decision making on what technologies to use, the architecture of the platforms and best technical practices.

You’ll be expected to work with other members of the management team as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness

Responsibilities / Duties:

• To establish and lead project’s technical vision and product development timelines,
• To utilize effective leadership practices to set-up, attract, develop, motivate and retain an unrivalled technology team (in-house and outsourced),
• To implement takeover of the existing software landscape and further development of the new and existing products,
• To plan strategically all initiatives with the project team and CEO to ensure goals are properly aligned with the development of products,
• To conduct research and case studies on leading edge technologies and to make determinations on the probability of implementation,
• To monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance,
• To communicate technology strategy to partners and investors,

Education and Experience:

• Proven experience as a CTO/Project Manager or similar leadership role (at least 7 years) and Developer (at least 3 years),
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy,
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning,
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research,
• Participation in the open-source projects is a plus,
• Leadership and organizational abilities,
• Reliability and accountability in implementation and delivery of IT projects,
• Proven experience and ability in scheduling resources, project planning and control,
• Strategic thinking,
• Problem-solving aptitude,
• Bachelor in Computer Science / SW/Electronic engineering (or any related field), a Master or PhD degree is a desired plus,
• Experience of board level meetings and key communication with both clients and investors is important.
• Fluent English (ability to communicate, write, make presentations)

Key Skills:

• Experience / knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML,
• Experience / knowledge of Ruby, Perl, PHP,
• Experience in database creation and interaction: SQL,
• Experience on multiple platforms: Windows, Linux and Android,
• Experience in OOP: C++, Java, Python,
• Experience with Windows internals (MSI, UAC and other security components),
• Experience with continuous integration methodology and related tools,
• Good knowledge of the open-source landscape, and preferably experience with open-source projects,
• Good understanding of ad network concept and is a significant plus.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies,
• Experience / knowledge in AI (Artificial Intelligence) / Machine Learning / Deep Learning / NN (Neural Networks) / NLP (Natural Language Processing) / Computer Vision is a plus

Market level salary plus negotiable bonus depending on the project results
