Head Chefs from £20,000 must have management experience. You will be overall responsible for the kitchen and the hot wok and sauces. Bonus available for good profit kitchens.
Second chefs from £14,000 must be responsible for the rice and noodle section and the deep fryer. Opportunity to run own kitchen within company.
Junior chefs. Must have qualified with chef certificate. Responsible for the vegetable preparation. Opportunity to be promoted to next level within 6 months.
Staff accommodation provided.
Training in Doncaster for 3 weeks prior to placement.

ABEL STAFF HAS BEEN GIVEN THE EXCLUSIVE RECRUITMENT CONTRACT FOR A CHAIN OF CHINESE BUFFET RESTAURANTS, CURRENTLY THEY HAVE 7 RESTAURANTS BUT ARE PLANNING TO OPEN 2 NEW RESTAURANTS IN BRIGHTON AND BIRMINGHAM IN JULY AND AUGUST.
THEY EMPLOY OVER 200 STAFF AND TURNOVER £6 MILLION A YEAR, THEY ARE RAPIDLY EXPANDING.
CURRENTLY THEY ARE LOOKING FOR 8 CHEFS FOR THE 7 EXISTING RESTAURANTS.
EACH CHEF WILL ATTEND A TRAINING SESSION FOR A FEW WEEKS IN THEIR DONCASTER RESTAURANT. ACCOMODATION IS PROVIDED BUT IS NOT FREE.

RICE AND NOODLES

THE HEAD CHEF IS ON A STARTING SALARY OF £20K UP TO £24 FOR THE BEST CANDIDATES. THIS IS A KITCHEN MANAGEMENT POSITION AND MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD COOKED AND PRESENTED, MUST ALSO WORK ON THE HOT WOK AND MAKE THE SAUCES.
THE SECOND CHEFS WILL BE ON THE RICE AND NOODLES AND HOT WOK/SAUCES. THEY WILL BE ON A SALARY OF 14/15K UP TO 16K IF GOOD AND PROVE THEMSELVES.
THE COMMIS CHEFS CAN BE TRAINED CHEFS WHO ARE NEW OUT OF COLLEGE OR JUST A FEW YEARS EXPERIENCE. THEY WILL BE CUTTING THE VEGETABLE AND DOING ALL THE LOWER GRADE COOKING JOBS BUT WILL BE TRAINED TO SECOND CHEF LEVEL WITHIN ONE YEAR. THEY WILL START ON A SALARY OF 10-12K.
YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT A CHINESE KITCHEN IS A VERY HOT KITCHEN WITH LOTS OF FRYING AND QUICK COOKING. IT WOULD BE GOOD IF THE CHEFS HAVE A KNOWLEDGE OF CHINESE COOKING BUT TRAINING IS GIVEN. MOST OF THE FOOD IS FROZEN AND THEN FRYED. THERE IS VERY LITTLE SKILL INVOLVED. THEY ARE CONSTANTLY COOKING TO REPLACE THE DISHES ON THE BUFFET. THEY HAVE 35 DISHES IN THE LUNCH MENU, 40 DISHES FOR THE EARLY EVENING AND 50 DISHES IN THE EVENING.
