Right now, we are looking for a forward leaning Cloud and DevOps Engineer to our Public Cloud team. I am Oskar Sjöstrand, and I’m looking for a new star with a solid technical background and experience from Cloud transformation to strengthen our ability to deliver on our Cloud Strategy by enabling the IT organization to utilize the strength of Cloud computing.
Your next challenge?
Telia is now looking to grow the Public Cloud team, today the team consists of dedicated DevOps Engineers that are situated in Sweden and Norway and we are now extending this to Lithuania.
This opportunity will allow you to take the place in a highly skilled and driven team, together with your colleagues you will enable the adoption of Public Cloud utilization and perform operations and development in a complex environment at scale.
The position will allow you to not only develop technical skills but also contribute to the design and implementation of the Public Cloud solutions in Telia Company.
We are looking for the person that, together with the team, will secure execution towards roadmap milestones and the Cloud strategy in general, this includes;
- Crafting libraries and tooling to enable seamless integration with services we use
- Identifying and building solutions that raises the level of quality and productivity across our organisation, by enabling everything from build services to best-in-class observability and on-premise connectivity
- Automating processes related to cloud operations, security configuration, account management and cost optimization etc
- Promote the Public Cloud offering internally to our stakeholder.

To succeed in this role, you need to be forward thinking, open minded and have strong collaboration skills.
Must-haves:
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP and/or Azure
- Experience with infrastructure as code, tooling and a matching mindset
- Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. The tool is less important - experiences and a mindset to try/execute CI/CD pipelines at scale is key
- Comfortable with Go (and Python) since we use these languages extensively on our team
- Fluent with best-practices for software development with a passion for automation
- Great communication skills plus well spoken and written English.
Nice to have:
- Good understanding of agile principals and previous delivered in such context
- Ability to translate strategic plans to technical deliverables, including to operational readiness and stability
- Experience with practical security and networking.
