Cyber Security Operations specialist

My name is Svetlana Šunina and I am leading Security team. We are a great bunch of professionals with different backgrounds and skills working together to ensure protected and trusted information and technology environment for Telia Lietuva and its customers. Right now, we are looking for a Cyber Security Operations Specialist who will help us to prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents by employing a range of technologies and processes.

Your next challenge?

You will deliver Security Operations Center cyber security services including cyber security monitoring, security incident management, abuse management and cyber threat mitigation work. Participate in on-call-duty and Incident handler on-duty responsibilities.

Monitoring and responding to cyber security events like malware infections, cyber intrusions and compromises, data breaches will be your daily tasks. You will also be responsible for technical investigations related to the incidents. For your daily routines you will use technical tools, agreed procedures, will be able to learn best practices, gain knowledge and use it proactively.

You will also be part of Telia Company global SOC organization and global CERT team. You will have colleagues in Nordics and Baltics with whom you will be collaborating. Your location will be in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Who are you?

You are trustworthy team player with passion for security and a keen interest in IT. During your career you have dealt with a variety of different cyber threats. Your strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate and cooperate with both technical personnel and colleagues who don’t have an IT background help you to manage those threats with minimum impact on company’s business and customers.

Your experience:

• More than 2 years’ experience in the Information Security field, including operational security monitoring and incident response experience.
• Monitoring devices such as network and host-based intrusion detection systems, web application firewalls, database security monitoring systems, firewalls/routers/switches, proxy servers, antivirus systems, file integrity monitoring tools, and operating system logs.
• Responding to security incidents in a production environment, such as investigating and remediating possible endpoint malware infections; mitigating threats and vulnerabilities with stakeholders.
• Good technical understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols.
• Good technical understanding of the information security threat landscape (attack vectors, best practices for securing systems and networks.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS and Linux/Unix system administration and security controls.
• We consider as advantage:
  • System forensics/investigation skills, including analyzing system artifacts (file system, memory, running processes, network connections) for indicators of infection/compromise.
  • Scripting skills (i.e. Python/Perl, shell scripting) 
  • Prior experience in a 24x7x365 operations environment.
  • Relevant information security certifications.

Working in this position you will receive a base salary starting at 1800 - 2700 Eur (gross) plus annual bonuses depending on your competencies and your and Telia results. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefits package which includes:
