I am Zahed Iqbal currently leading the Data Center Network team in Telia. We are a great bunch of people, and I am super proud of every member of our team. Right now, we are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team in Vilnius
Data Center Networks Team is part of Common Products & Services – Cloud & Infrastructure unit, responsible for the development, operations, maintenance, life cycle management and capacity planning of Datacenter network infrastructures. Common Products & Services - Platform & Infrastructure unit is developing, maintaining and operating our Datacenters' IT infrastructure and internal platforms (private cloud, integration). It plays a key role in delivering production quality and customer experience for continued growth in Telia Company.
Your next challenge?
We offer you the possibility to get work experience in an international company that provides network access and telecommunication services that help people and companies communicate in an easy, efficient, and environmentally friendly way. Your tasks consist of:
- Support and operation of the data center networks in Telia Nordics (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway)
- Incident resolution in Network production environment
- Proactive and preventive maintenance of Data center network (monitoring routines, Network device SW and HW updates, upgrades, patching, migrations tasks)
- Develop tools, scripts and utilities to support daily operation and automation
- Standard network deliveries
- On-call incident resolution out of business hours (based on monthly rota)
Your personality:
- You are analytical and organized

- You understand good customer service and meaning of a business
- You can Communicate effectively in English
- You are a problem solver with ability to quickly implement practical solutions
Your experience:
- Technical education (University or polytechnic)
- Network OS skill (IOS, IOS XR, NXOS)
- Experience with large Data Centre networks (Spanning tree, fabric path, VXLAN)
- TCP/IP Networking troubleshooting skills and security knowledge
- Practical experience of working with Cisco Switches and Routers
- You are familiar with ITIL processes and project management practices
- Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent level of knowledge
- Knowledge of DNS, Infoblox NetMRI and IPAM, Splunk, SevOne, Linux, Cisco ACI and scripting will be an additional merit
