Job Description
Data Warehouse/ETL Developer would a part of team which provides a number of services including:
- Data capture from multiple sources
- Data services – quality, profile, cleansing
- Data modelling – loading to database models in a warehouse
- Data Interpretation – making sense of the data – analysis
- Data Insight – consumable representation of information
Job Description:- Responsible for the development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures.
- Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies.
- Includes expertise in data mining, Extract Transform Load (ETL), design and documentation of data movement schemes, and mapping between
applications.
- The role holder will utilize Data Warehousing Services to source customer information and use a wide variety of applications to manipulate and
transpose this information as required by stakeholders.
- Assist in the automation of regular team outputs, ensuring automated solutions are fit for purpose to hand over to Production and Delivery team
Requirements
- Knows DW Concepts and has Data Warehouse development experience.
- ETL experience preferred.
- SQL and databases including data transformation, data structures, efficiency, normalization.
- Good understanding of any of the following : Ab Initio, Informatica, Data Stage, Teradata, Cognos.
- Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Knowledge of Unix.
- Analytical and problem solving.
- Communication skills.
- Organisation and Planning skills.
- Builds effective relationships both internally & externally.
- Customer focused - builds effective relationships.
