Job Description

Database Administrator to work with distributed technology teams on a variety of different database management systems. The candidate will primarily
work with software and system engineers in an agile environment to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of multiple products.

Responsibilities

• Build extensible, reliable, and resilient database systems.
  
• Work with distributed teams to understand database needs and development challenges and to build in-team knowledge of best practices and core
  

• Maintain development and production environments, including performing production SQL and configuration changes during maintenance windows.
  
• Perform QA on your own work and provide peer review for others’.

Requirements

• Experience with multiple relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and understanding of their low-level operating concepts.
  
• Familiarity with NoSQL and/or key-value stores; experience with specific implementations preferred.
  
• Strong database design and architectural skills, including the understanding of effective database design, and the ability to advise and teach others.
  
• Knowledge of database tuning and performance enhancement concepts
  
• Demonstrated experience with highly available database systems
  
• Knowledge of agile development principles
