Job Description
• Manage physical configures, installs, maintains and upgrades of server applications and hardware;
• Manage systems in a way to leverage the existing technologies, improvement of the system as a whole.
• Close collaboration with network, systems, storage, and development teams.
• Design, develop, modify, adapt and implement short- & long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, and network systems and applications infrastructure.
• Review system requirements and business processes.
• Code, test, debug and implement software solutions.
• Manage database utilities and the relationships between the database users and applications.
• Manage organization’s databases across multiple platforms and computing environments.
• Design summary or aggregation tables to support analyses and develops policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure staff to identify data relationships and functional requirements.
• Maintain database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and backup procedures.
• Analyze, design, create and implement databases, including data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas, access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security.
Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Microsoft or other professional DBA certification.
• 5+ years of SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong replication, patching and database tuning experience.
• Working experience in a high-availability database environment.
• Strong knowledge of Performance & Tuning of SQL and Database Server.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Operations System.
• Working knowledge in Database Monitoring tools (e.g. Fog Light, Ignite, MySQL Work Bench, or similar tools).
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with many stakeholders, team members.
• Professional attitude with ability to prioritize work, multi-task, flex between changing priorities, and strong time management is critical in our rapidly changing environment.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL database technologies is a PLUS but not required.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting is PLUS but not required.
