
Database Security Analyst
Job Description
Initially the team will form part of the global database service providing support to critical run-the-company systems. The Imperva support
teams will provide support for the infrastructure and compliance exceptions from the database auditing of over 3000 production MSSQL,
Oracle, Sybase and DB2 database servers. Responsibilities include Imperva project delivery, working with relevant applications teams,
engineering teams and vendors to provide this service to all company‘s business areas. The Imperva (the vendor) teams will operate 24x7
operational and 24x5 infrastructure support models (operating an 8 hour shift).These roles are Vilnius based and will work closely with the
existing PM, Engineering and other infrastructure resources based in London, New York, Singapore, India and South Africa.
As a Specialist, your responsibilities will be:
- Monitoring of the Imperva infrastructure and capacity planning.
- Support forecasting infrastructure requirements and managing deployments to relevant data centres.
- Providing reports/extracts of audit data as required to meeting regulatory requirements and historic evidence.
- Follow up on security events to ensure database privileges are not abused.
- Ensuring audit data is successfully archived and available for recovery.
- Monitoring impact to application owned database hosts to ensure that the local agents are not impacting other services.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience supporting a technical environment such as database, platform or desktop.
- Good ownership and communication skills to manage deployment to the full estate as well as the ability to troubleshoot and manage
- Understanding of ITIL best practice to manage change and incident in line with company's procedures
- University degree ( in technical discipline would be a plus)
- Experience managing a network based auditing solution such as Imperva IBM's Gueardium product would be a plus
- Excellent English skills
