Job Description

  • Create P&I Diagrams under guidance
  • Design, review and optimize piping layouts and detailed design to meet engineering and functionality requirements
  • Create 3D models of piping, support optimize facility layout and structural design
  • Produce plot plan, conceptual pipe routing, piping layout, equipment layout, ISOs, pipe cross-section, pipe rack loading, Stress report, BoM, piping vendor document review etc.
  • Create and review the piping bill of material for compliance with DIN/ASME/Other relevant code requirements
  • Check through drawings and ensure drawings are according to the design calculation
  • Prepare As-built drawings for submissions
  • Ensure design compliance with respective client/company specification and codes.
  • Coordinate pipe and structural stress with structural engineer
  • Provide recommendations for modification or validation of piping layouts
  • Validate design calculations according to project requirements
  • Liaise with design & project managers in design works
  • Provide value engineering proposals during tender and ongoing projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering in relevant MEP (mechanical, electrical and piping/plumping) related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in design & engineering of process plants is preferred.
  • Good sketching skills and ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas concisely
  • Good communication skills are essential for team-based work.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
  • Good time management habits and ability to multi-task
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, AutoCAD (Plant3d, Advanced Steel would be advantage)
  • Understand and clarify client requirements
