What you can expect
You will be working as part of a team of Development Agronomists within the BASF Crop Protection Division for 1-2 years, based in Woolpit, Suffolk in the United Kingdom (UK) and employed on a local UK employment contract by BASF plc, and then return to Latvia or Lithuania and be employed in the local BASF Company in the respective country. You will plan and execute a range of field trials in support of current and future new compounds in our development pipeline.
• This will entail reporting on progress and results for individual projects under your control.
• Acting as an interface between the Development department and other functional groups, you will also ensure that test protocols deliver registration and commercial objectives.
• The role will also involve close liaison with trial contractors as well as managing a placement student.
Requirements
What we expect
• You have a degree in Agriculture, Biological Sciences or equivalent.
• Beyond this, you have experience in conducting field trials, and have an organized approach to your work.
• Using your excellent communication skills, you also work well within a team.
• A good level of IT skills, with Microsoft Word skills being essential and ARM skills a plus.
• A full driving license is also necessary, and you will be provided with a company/pool car for business purposes.
