Development Manager in Card Systems

We are in the process of establishing a new Department within Card Systems. Card Systems deliver a wide range of products to our customers including dual pan cards and contactless cards. Furthermore, we are part of delivering MobilePay (a digital wallet with person to person transfers and purchase in shops and web) which is used by more than 2 million users. In Card Systems we are working on transforming our current platform, from being focused on the physical card product to a new modern infrastructure with focus on self-service digital solutions and mobile wallets; This is the challenge that we want you to help us with. Danske Bank has 19,000 employees in 15 countries along with 2,000 IT professionals in Denmark, India, and Lithuania. We are currently building a new primary development centre in Lithuania where we are already more than 200 employees within IT development.

Responsibilities:

• Full project and delivery responsibility for the deliveries made out of the new team in Lithuania
• End to end project management responsibility
• HR responsibility for all team members of the team
• Building a new team in a new location from scratch
• Ensuring that architectural choices are based on best practice and lives up to the agility required to continue being best in class
• Self-directed work style
• Transforming and adapting legacy systems to a new and modern platform
• Part of the global management team of Card Systems and thereby ensuring a holistic approach to development

• Experience and a proven track record as Department Manager and experienced Project Manager
• Experience with construction of architecture of a new system
• Background as Master in Computer Science, IT Engineer or similar
• Disrupt our normal thinking and suggest new approaches to the work
• Be able to read, write speak and understand the English language
• Good cooperation skills and attention to details
• Working experience as a .NET developer or similar
• A desire to coach and spar with employees of various experience level in order to build a strong high performing team
