DevOps Engineer – Observability & Monitoring

FL Technics, UAB
From 3300 €/m Gross

About Sensus Aero:

Sensus Aero, a subsidiary of FL Technics, combines aviation MRO expertise with modern technology to deliver an MRO software solution tailored for the aviation maintenance industry. Sensus MRO is a web-based ERP platform built for independent aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) organizations. Designed by aviation experts, it helps MRO companies manage complex workflows — from quoting and work orders to parts logistics, planning, and regulatory compliance. Our product is trusted by MRO clients across multiple geographies and is actively evolving toward a modern, scalable architecture.

Our goal is to continue expanding the platform until it becomes the true all-in-one solution for aviation businesses worldwide. To support this next stage of growth, we're strengthening our infrastructure team and looking for people who want to help us scale the platform globally.

About the role:

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics ecosystem. You'll own and improve how we monitor, alert, log, and understand our systems across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and on-premise environments. Visibility and reliability are at the heart of this role, but you'll also be part of the infrastructure team, giving you opportunities to grow into deployments, Infrastructure as Code, and broader platform engineering over time. We value curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn over a perfect checklist of skills.

You'll join a small in-house infrastructure team of two on-site DevOps engineers, working alongside an external ASG IT team.

Main focus area:

  • Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and metrics pipelines using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki;
  • Own log collection, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our aggregation and analysis (Loki);
  • Collect and standardize metrics across our environments, including OCI and on-premise;
  • Improve and standardize our use of existing monitoring and metrics-collection tooling;
  • Work with developers to make services observable by design.

Secondary areas (bonus, not a requirement):

Not your day-one focus, but as part of the infrastructure team you'll likely touch these over time:

  • Infrastructure and application deployments;
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI);
  • Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code);
  • Nomad;
  • HashiCorp Vault.

Must-have:

  • 2–4 years in DevOps / SRE / infrastructure roles;
  • Hands-on with Prometheus + Grafana (dashboards, alerting, PromQL basics);
  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis (Loki, or similar such as ELK);
  • Strong grasp of observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing) and the tooling around them;
  • Comfortable with Docker and Linux;
  • Solid scripting (Bash + Go or similar);
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code and familiarity with best practices for working effectively with AI coding agents.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with a major cloud platform — especially OCI, since you'll be collecting metrics from IT;
  • GitLab CI experience (GitHub Actions a plus);
  • Terraform, Nomad, or HashiCorp Vault (we're adopting these);
  • Experience bridging cloud and on-premise environments.

What we offer:

  • Opportunity to work with innovative IT solutions for the aviation market;
  • International work environment;
  • Additional health Insurance after a probation period;
  • Learning and development opportunities to further improve your skills;
  • Gym;
  • Employees' referral bonus;
  • Indoor dining room;
  • Partnership discount system for cooperating companies.
