DIRECTOR STRATEGIC PURCHASING COMMODITIES (m/w)

International | Strategic Purchasing | Home-Office

Task:

Your task will be to co-ordinate and standardise international purchasing activities. To do this you will strengthen the management team and take over the site-spanning, professional management and further development of a 10-man purchasing team.

You will develop, define and implement a global sourcing strategy for machine components, chemical operating resources, packaging materials, services, logistics and energy with a purchasing volume of more than 100 million Euros. You will develop the corresponding procurement markets in close co-operation with the internal consumers and will in the long-term control the development of a professional, group-wide purchasing organisation. You will identify cost-lowering potentials, optimise the purchasing and supply chain processes and research into new technologies and trends, weighing up both the risks and benefits.

You will report directly to the „Supply Chain“ executive board based in Norway. Your principle place of residence will be close to Kaunas and Vilnius. Alternatively, a home office in a location with good traffic connections is also possible.

Profile:

You have successfully completed a scientific or technical degree course as an industrial engineer and have several years of experience in a comparable position. You are familiar with every facet of operative and strategic purchasing and supplier management. You are also familiar with the processes and special features of a producing industrial company in an international field. The challenges of change management and the leadership of an interdisciplinary team in matrix/line organisations are also routine tasks for you.

From a personal aspect you are characterised by strategic farsightedness, communication and negotiating skills, and intercultural sensitivity. You are convincing and empathetic and prefer an independent and responsible way of working. You resolve conflicts pragmatically and with the necessary aplomb. The close, trusting co-operation with the executive board implies an understanding of the business as a whole. You speak fluent business English and enjoy regular travel.

If you have experience in the furniture or kitchen industry or in interior finishing, as well as proven success, in addition to which you have already reorganised or integrated purchasing activities in the past, then you are the candidate we are looking for.
