Job Description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Cyber Risk and Access Management team. In this role, you will head a group of seven security professionals specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Third-Party (TPRM), and Cyber Risk Management.

As Vinted continues to expand globally, we’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can tackle complex security risks and help scale our access management systems. In other words, we’re seeking a practitioner rather than a documenter - someone who leads from the front, translates security requirements into robust and practical solutions, and supports motivated colleagues by helping them grow through hands-on experience.

In this position, you’ll

  • Lead and manage the security services portfolio, including Identity Access Management, Third Party Risk Management, and Cyber Risk Management, with varying maturity levels.
  • Enable systematic thinking about security services maturity and capability progression, and continue building and maintaining services that support organizational needs.
  • Work in two directions:
  • Towards your team (7 people)
  • Towards the rest of the organization, by affecting the ways of working of 900 people in an engineering organization.

Requirements

  • You have senior leadership experience in security, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams, larger functions, or cross-functional security initiatives.
  • You bring broad technical credibility across security and proven experience building, owning, and maturing multiple security services across an organisation, such as IAM, Third-Party Risk Management, Cyber Risk Management, or similar.
  • You think systematically about security service maturity, capability progression, and how to develop services into scalable, reliable, and measurable operating models.
  • You have experience managing a broad range of stakeholder expectations and can clearly communicate service scope, priorities, and impact.
  • You are highly effective at influencing leaders and driving alignment without direct authority.
  • You can communicate fluently in English and clearly explain complex security, governance, and risk topics to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
