Overall Role Purpose

Responsible for performing accurate and timely accounting transactions in accordance with the
financial timetable

Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for performing the transaction processes operating within the
  

Business Accounting Team

• Journal entries and backing information


• Financial analyses including reconciliations


• Reports and data interrogation / manipulation


• Process Improvement activities


• Decision making in local environment


• Processes are initially UK facing : scope is planned to widen to multi country processes.

Requirements

Relevant Knowledge and Experience:

• Fluency in English


• Experience of working in a large company environment with virtual teams


• Qualified by experience or working towards a professional accounting qualification.


• Good understanding of finance policies and procedures.


• Self-starter with drive and enthusiasm for making process improvements. Exposure to
  

Continuous Improvement (TQM, 6 sigma...) methodology advantageous

• Systems knowledge required: SAP R3 FI/CO, BW, SRM, Excel in particular.


• Capable of operating in an environment where clear communication, accuracy, timeliness
  
and compliance
