Job Description

R&D Automotive Custom Sensors team is looking for Global Product Group Leader – to be an owner of Safety Sensors products group, ensuring effective product development and lifecycle management (product design wise) across globally run projects.

About the job:





    • Own, manage and control product design process on local and global Safety Sensors development projects



    • Develop and maintain relationship with current and potential customers, be active in evaluating their needs and proposing solutions



    • A Point of Contact to Customers’ Engineering teams – building trusted partnership in new product design development



    • Plan Safety Sensors research works collecting and deepening knowledge about group products globally



    • Coordinate activities on Safety Sensors development work in virtual project teams or via direct reports (if any), ensuring successful design of new products



    • Promote and Implement innovative technical solutions



    • Own new product and new technology development within Safety Sensors remit – ensuring best product design practices are developed, maintained and followed across all projects and during all product lifecycle



    • Ensure corporate and business unit standards/frameworks are followed

 

Requirements



    • University degree in Engineering with a focus on a Mechanics field or equivalent work experience



    • At least 7 years of experience in mechanics and product development; >7 years of experience would be beneficial



    • Experience in automotive industry is a strong plus



    • Working knowledge of Functional Safety Standards (ISO26262, ASIL) is a strong plus



    • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 standard requirements and specific customer requirements in work area



    • Solution and problem thinker, applying system architectures and high expertise in development



    • Team player, mentor, practices owner with a focus of establishing proven solutions as a company standard



    • Good organizational and teamwork skills



    • Strong relationship-building, leadership, and communication skills



    • Skilled at understanding team dynamics, ability to leverage strengths and mitigate weaknesses



    • Highly skilled in planning and leading design iterations including design alternatives and trade-offs



    • Methodically strong in applying DFMEA for every design release



    • Continuous and Fast learner, stimulator for new horizons and innovations

 

Company offers



    • Salary from 3000 eur/mon. gross, excluding bonus based on performance. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate
