Head of Internal Audit

Head of Internal Audit will be reporting to the Board and in early stages of the bank’s opening will be responsible for creating and implementing internal audit procedures, building a strong team and further leading the department in assuring that the bank is operating efficiently and according to applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the development of internal audit function and ensuring proper execution
• Developing and implementing effective systems and controls to manage all significant risks
• Consulting CEO and the Board on the overall adequacy and effectiveness of each respective organization’s arrangements for governance, risk management and control
• Identifying key areas of improvement and providing solid recommendations to CEO and the Board
• Gathering and leading audit team (expected growth – 5 people in 3 years)
• Analysis of audit findings to understand root causes to ensure delivery of clear and insightful assurance reports with agreed actions on control improvements
• Collaborate with Audit colleagues, particularly across business and risk facing disciplines to understand Group strategy and objectives to develop and deliver a compelling audit plan

• A degree in Finance/Economics or a relevant field
• Successful track record of 3-4 years in a senior audit position
• Extensive Compliance, Risk Management and Internal Audit background
• Background in banking sector would be an advantage
• Experience in auditing fin-tech firms would be an advantage
• Experience in leading a team would be an advantage
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
• Fluent in Lithuanian, both spoken and written would be an advantage
• Possesses personal abilities to see the big picture, focus on strategic issues, influence the organization to act and be effective at all levels of management
• Proactive and decisive approach to problem solving
