Purpose of the job

To further strengthen Danske Bank’s cybersecurity defense we are hiring a manager for our new Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) located in Vilnius, Lithuania. The manager will be responsible for building and managing all aspects of the SIRT in close cooperation with Group IT Security and Risk.

The SIRT team is responsible for handling and resolving security incidents and works in close cooperation with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) also located in Vilnius. The SOC performs 24/7/365 monitoring and incident handling to detect potential security incidents to protect Danske Bank’s network and systems.

When a threat or an attack is discovered by e.g. the SOC and cannot be resolved, the SOC escalates to the SIRT team for additional levels of incident response. The SIRT works with system owners and other teams to mitigate the issue as soon as possible.

We seek a highly analytical persons with a strong IT security background, management experience, and preferably prior SOC experience. We are looking for candidates with true interest in current and evolving security threats, IT and information security, large IT environments, systems and network infrastructure.

Primary tasks/deliveries

• First and foremost you will engage with Group IT Security and Risk to design and develop the new SIRT. You will also be responsible for hiring all the analysts who are going to work in the SIRT.
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures used to manage incident response processes and provide guidance and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the SOC analysts.
• Continuously monitor levels of service as well as interpret and prioritize threats through use of security information and event monitoring systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, servers, etc.
• Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough review and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
• Monitor and proactively mitigate information security risks. Provide briefings at various levels of management regarding ongoing security incidents.
• Develop and maintain reporting metrics and mechanisms used to execute and measure SIRT activities.

About the department

Group IT Security and Risk is responsible for information security and risk identification throughout Danske Bank’s overall business strategy. Moreover, for each country there are a number of additional local security employees. Generally there is a high pace with focus on deliveries but there is a good work atmosphere.

The new SIRT in Vilnius will be one of the new departments Group IT Security and Risk will be setting up during the next years.

Requirements

Professional competencies (skills and knowledge)

• Several years of experience in IT Security field.
• You must be an experienced Security Analyst with experience in managing a team. You must also have substantial proven relevant IT Security experience including internet, networking and security testing methodologies
• Incident response and handling experience required
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance concerns
• English skills (verbally and in writing)
• A clean police record
• Proven manager experience
