Duties

Serves as Human Resources Assistant/Payroll Liaison and is responsible under the general supervision of the HR Supervisor for administration of HR programs at post, provides technical support, advice and guidance to Locally Employed  Staff (LE staff) on a wide variety of personnel matters. Handles recruitment program, diplomatic accreditation of American employees as well as their check-in/check-out procedures. Job Holder is post’s main timekeeper and payroll liaison with the Charleston Payroll Unit. Manages all LE Staff payroll activities, ensures the timely and accurate payment of employee wages, assists in resolving any payroll issues or discrepancies. 

Qualifications and Evaluations

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate.

 

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam. Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

 

Education Requirements:

Completion of two years of general university/college studies is required.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in payroll, human resources or administrative field is required.

Language: Fluent knowledge of English and Lithuanian (reading/writing/speaking) is required. This may be tested.
