INCLUSIVE EDUCATION TEACHING ASSISTANT

The job of the Inclusive Education Teaching Assistant is established for the purpose(s) of working with individual and/or small groups of students(s) under the direction of a certificated classroom teacher and/or Inclusive Education teacher in the supervision and instruction of students with an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) or an Accommodations Awareness Plan (AAP).

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

• Assist students by modeling the necessary skills to perform assignments. Provide support to children with reading, writing, math, executive functioning skills, and social emotion learning on an individual, class, or small group basis.
• Follow specific educational and/or behavioral plans, modeling appropriate behaviors and interactions with students and staff.
• Assist students by providing for any special health care needs, as determined on an individual basis.
• Perform related duties as required (assignments including classroom support, lunchroom, playgrounds etc.).
• Help with School events, trips and activities.
• Attend meetings and reviews.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology or special education.
• Fluent English (other language would be an advantage).
• Previous experience of working with students with special needs.
• The ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, parents and community members.

• Fix-term employment contract (until June 30, 2023).
• Monthly salary range before taxes: 1700 Eur.
