Job Description
- You support the company within issues related to IT including both software and hardware
- You are responsible for all costs related to IT hardware and software and achieving the cost budget
- You are responsible to secure that the IT involved in critical business processes is stable and operational to prevent any of the business processes from breaking down due to IT failure
- You secure that the legal rules are adhered to and that only licences software is used in the business
Main tasks:
- You are responsible for all matters related to IT – including security issues
- You consult on an on-going basis regarding use and follow-up of the implemented software and hardware.
- You are responsible for compiling input for the multi-year business plan regarding IT issues and supporting the management teams for developing their annual business plan with regards to your own function and areas of responsibility.
- You ensure that the company implements and works with IT functions with regards to
- You plan and set-up systems and routines regarding security of the IT functions
- You educate and train the co-workers with regards to the implemented IT tools and functions
- You purchase the necessary external services for the company with regards to the implemented IT tools and functions
- You manage all matters related to IT in accordance with local legislation
Requirements
General retailing experience
- Should have experience or deep understanding of the IT needs for large scale retailing business
- Must have experience in project management
- Must have experience from application management in a company or as a supplier
- Must have experience from ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or other IT systems
- Must have knowledge about the architecture and philosophy of ERP or close IT packages.
- Experience from internet retailing
- Knowledge about the technical architecture and concepts for e-commerce
- Knowledge about LAN/WAN
- Must have a basic understanding of IT communication technologies
- Experience from user support and services
- Must have experience from supporting organisation with IT either internal support or as a supplier
- Budget management
- Must have experience of budgeting and controlling costs for IT operation and development
- Supplier management
- Must have experience from managing IT suppliers
Communication skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to share knowledge and learning
- Must be able to build working relationships
- Must be able to speak and understand English
Leadership skills
- Must have proven leadership abilities and lead by example
