About the department

Group IT Security and Risk is responsible for information security and risk identification throughout Danske Bank’s overall business strategy. The core group is located in Copenhagen, Denmark and consists of 15 employees. Moreover, for each country there are a number of additional local security employees.

To further strengthen Danske Bank’s cybersecurity defence we are hiring a number of IT Security Specialists for our new Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) located in Vilnius, Lithuania. The SIRT team is responsible for handling and resolving security incidents and works in close cooperation with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) also located in Vilnius. The SOC performs 24/7/365 monitoring and incident handling to detect potential security incidents to protect Danske Bank’s network and systems. When a threat or an attack is discovered by e.g. the SOC and cannot be resolved, the SOC escalates to the SIRT team for additional levels of incident response. The SIRT works with system owners and other teams to mitigate the issue as soon as possible.We seek highly analytical persons with a strong IT background and preferably prior SOC experience. We are looking for candidates with true interest in current and evolving security threats, IT and information security, large IT environments, systems and network infrastructure.

• Proactively monitor systems and handle security events
• Perform in-depth incident response and computer forensics
• Perform incident handling using defined processes
• Perform structured reporting (incidents, alerts, advisories, and bulletins as required)

Professional competencies (skills and knowledge)

• 2+ years of experience with IT Security , IT user/system administration
• Analytical and structured
• Good English
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent

Desired skills

• Prior experience with incident response and computer forensics
• Prior experience as a security analyst
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA+, Linux+ or CCNA)
• Relevant security certifications (e.g. CompTIA+, GCIA, GCIH and GCAC)
