
IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (German language)
Job Description
The main purpose of the IT Support Engineer is to work closely with company’s clients and sales team to understand the clients’ needs in order to integrate their products on to the site. This role will have responsibility for the German speaking markets so fluent German language is essential.
Full training will be provided so we’re looking for enthusiasm, drive and a strong interest in ecommerce and its technologies. Previous commercial experience is not a prerequisite for this role and we’d be happy to accept applications from both graduates and those with experience.
Key Duties:
Maintain existing client integrations using our in house development tools;
Set up new integrations with clients including full development and testing;
Work closely with the sales team and their customers to ensure a quality product is delivered;
Using appropriate technologies to deliver solutions;
A strong desire to learn both technical and customer skills.
Requirements
Key Skills Required:
Ideally a degree in computer science or a related subject;
Good level on IT knowledge using Windows, Linux and Shell technologies;
Strong communicator with good telephone manner;
Prior experience of a role working with customers;
Fluent German and English skills.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of using HTML, PHP, XML & JavaScript;
Some experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl or Python;
Additional programming/scripting languages (e.g. Java) a plus;
Some database experience (MySQL).
