JAVA DEVELOPER (BACKEND)

IT Solution Delivery (ISD) is a cross divisional support function within Business Support. We provide business oriented and cost efficient IT development and maintenance for SEB. ISD consists of the following Areas: TCM, Wealth & Securities, Core Solutions, Front, Supporting Systems, Project Office, Application Infrastructure and Business Development & Support. SEB Shared Service Centre IT Solution Delivery is growing and we are recruiting team members for the ongoing FIRE project.

As a Java Developer you will be part of the Risk IT agile team which is currently being established in Vilnius. The team will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Financial Review (FIRE) applications which will play a very important role for SEB’s business. FIRE is currently under development applying a new method called Rapid Process Development.

What you can expect:

You will work in an international environment within the stakeholders primarily based in Stockholm, Nordic sites and Germany having a proactive cooperation with the people at all levels. As a strong team player and Java Developer you will work closely with other colleagues integrating the application with all required systems and services and provide clean and easy to use APIs for the frontend part of the system.

The job could also imply a number of business trips to Sweden and Germany. Intensive periods may occur.

What we expect:

To succeed and thrive in this position, you must have a solid experience in following:

• Java and Spring framework
• Object-Oriented programing
• database systems, with knowledge of Oracle, SQL and JPA
• writing and utilizing RESTful API services
• performance tuning large scale apps
• English language
• have strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience in the following will be treated as advantages:

• JavaScript MVC frameworks (React, Redux, Webpack, Node etc.)
• CICS or similar banking software
• web services and integration between other complex software systems
• automated testing (Jasmine, Selenium)
• unit and integration tests
• Agile methodologies
• mobile development

You must ensure that the code follows latest coding practices, applications are built according to the design and designers receive a proper feedback. You develop high quality and efficient code. Inefficient solutions must be avoided by providing challenging ideas and justified by personal opinion. Furthermore, you are expected to know how you want to develop yourself, grow and change to become an expert in the field.
