Currently NASDAQ is expanding the team in Lithuania and is looking for:
JAVA DEVELOPER

Overview:
You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team consisting of Developers and Test Engineers and you will be responsible for a new Nasdaq Core Desktop Trading software development:
• Write a clean code for new complex functionality.
• Develop unit tests ensuring a good code coverage in continuous integration environment.
• Review colleague’s code in order to improve the quality of coding.
• Analyze business requirements, reverse-engineer legacy software code and contribute to new software design.

Qualifications required:
• At least 3 years of work experience in Java application development.
• Deep understanding of Java, object oriented design and patterns.
• University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar.
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.

Advantageous skills:
• Experience in refactoring of legacy applications and reverse engineering.
• Experience from working with financial systems.
• Experience with Apache Flex (formerly Adobe Flex, SDK for cross-platform rich Internet applications based on the Adobe Flash platform) would be beneficial.
• Experience with C# would be beneficial.

To be a good match for this role you should be a fast analytical thinker, able to deal with uncertainty, and able to work with abstractions or to focus in to details when needed (zoom-out / zoom-in). In addition you should have the motivation and capacity to learn the financial domain model and in particular the trading area.
