Head of Legal

We are now looking for ambitious and passionate new team member to join our Admin Team. 

Areas of responsibilities:

• Corporate governance and affairs
• Legal opinions on business relations, AML and other compliance topics
• Board briefings and advice
• Legal risks and implications of all of the business's transactions
• Regulation changes
• Special projects - i.e. M&A‘s, license expansions etc.

We invite you to:

• Provide legal advice and interpret law, narrate legal opinions to the top management of the company;
• Assess legal risks and implication to business transactions;
• Review and provide legal and compliance advice to all company’s legal documents, i.e. contracts, policies and procedures;
• Lead company’s legal disputes;
• Lead company‘s Corporate Governance agenda from legal perspectives;
• Review and sign-off all strategic documents submitted for the company‘s Board;
• Collaborate with management to design efficient legal strategies;
• Research and evaluate different legal risk factors regarding business decisions and operations;
• Regularly review company procedures, practices and documents to identify possible legal weaknesses or risk;
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and legal compliance violations;
• Keep Company‘s top management and operations on top of legal regulatory agenda;
• Provide advice and resolve employee concerns about legal compliance;
• Plan and manage the work of the legal team;
• Manage related third parties and legal service providers;
• Lead legal topics on any special company projects, i.e. M&A‘s, license expansions etc.
• Think and initiate any technological solutions to manage efficiency of legal tasks.

We expect you to have:

• Qualification gained at Law school. Internationally ranked university would be an advantage.
• Professional practice of 10-12 years; preferably working with international clients in Fintech, Finance & Banking, Regulatory Compliance, Gaming, Trading, Consulting and Legal business industries.
• Litigation experience would be an advantage.
• Personality – positive, business and goal orientated, flexible and open minded, resilient and open to discussions and new learning, attentive to details and hands-on leader. Good team player with „can-do“ attitude.
• High level of integrity, maturity, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
• Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of initiative, planning and organizational skills; have great project management skills, result orientation and KPI tracking is in your blood.
• Experience in growing organizations, proven track record of successful strategic legal initiatives and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and Lithuanian);
